The medical grade, biocompatible polymer, poly ether-ether ketone (PEEK), the material of the PEEK prosthesis, consistently outperforms metal therefore makes it possible to create optionally removable Implant Dentures, Implant Bars, Partial Removable Dentures.

The high-performance polyether-ether ketone  has been successfully used for many years in various areas of medicine and is now finding its way into modern dental medicine due to its outstanding properties such as: natural bone like flexibility and lightweightness, natural color, metal free, no metallic taste or temperature changes, better than metal strength to weight ratio, digitally designed and manufactured with high precision. In most cases the actual PEEK dental prosthesis usually fixed by two ratchets, sits on a thin bridge which can be supported by several implants anchored in the jaw, ensuring a secure fit and greater comfort In the mouth. The denture is easy to insert and remove.

With the removable option, as expected, the cleaning process is simple and more effective. As a result, food residues in the interstices of the prosthesis cannot occur at all, since each angle is easy to reach and clean with a toothbrush, and without the need to visit a dental surgery. By simply unlocking and removing the dental prosthesis patients can also clean the substructure in the mouth this way.

Fixed implant supported dentures have no similar advantages as they either not entirely complete in order to avoid foodstuff pockets, or rely on regular professional cleaning by a dentist or dental hygienist. Furthermore, most fixed prostheses fail to cross the border between the denture and chewing plate and not supporting the jaw. Dr. Toka’s PEEK dentures, in turn, can ensure this support function without problems, thanks to their further advantage, density and texture similar to human bone, that conventional dentures cannot offer. Natural teeth in the mouth are anchored in the jaw bone that is supplied with sensitive nerves and can unconsciously give signal if the bite force is too much. In the case of All-on-4 fixed dentures on implants, this feedback, which should be naturally there, is missing, consequently, wearers of fixed implants tend to exert a too strong bite, stressing their jaw as well as the dental prosthesis unnecessarily and unconsciously.

Due to its nature, however, PEEK can emulate the natural function of the bone and has a positive effect on the jaw and the lifespan of the prosthesis.
